Our weekend and one day Youth Leadership Development retreats empower rangatahi with the skills, self-knowledge and purposeful mindset to make better choices in their lives and to be positive role models to others. It also expands their vision of what is possible and encourages leadership for positive change in their communities.

To date the Peace Foundation has led eight successful retreats at locations in the Coromandel, Piha, Bethels Beach, Kaipara and the Hokianga region. Led by qualified Project Wayfindre facilitators and supported by interns and staff from the Peace Foundation, our purpose is to encourage and mentor youth to aim high and follow their dreams. Youth benefit from improved self-motivation, engagement and resilience to life’s challenges. They learn to become more adaptable to life’s inevitable shifts and our changing world.
