The aim of Te Pou O Rongo is to build peace and resilience within our rangatahi Māori by reconnecting them with their Māori culture and identity. Māori youth between the ages of 14 – 25 come together for a day of networking, sharing, workshops, presentations and other activities. They are inspired by guest speakers and workshop facilitators to be the best they can be … to be pou within their kura or organisation as mentors and peace ambassadors.

The event provides rangatahi with an experience that feeds their wairua, hinengaro, tinana and supports them to build better relationships with others as well as offering practical tools and advice to help build resilience, strength and peace in their lives.
